Networking Manager

Location: Bryanston, Johannesburg
Salary: R10k per month

Requirements:
Driver’s Licence and Own Car
Tertiary Qualification in Marketing/Events
Sales/Events Experience

Duties:
To become the face of the event.
To assist Marketing Manager to optimise attendee numbers.
To drive pre-registrations and visitors for the exhibition, marketing and networking opportunities to sponsors and exhibitors.
To co-ordinate and manage meetings for sponsors of key events and delegates.
To provide sponsors with a truly great experience during the conference and to provide a service element to the networking process.
Deal with all contact queries and technical issues while the conference is underway.
Contact all event sponsors and exhibitors, speakers and top companies – initially by phone and ideally meet face to face.
Complete competitor analysis: plot out industry meetings you will attend throughout the year – to network and create awareness around the event
Managing the seminars and seminar speakers after production
Manage the running of the onsite seminars on the day of the event
Contact sponsors, exhibitors and buyer profiles for nominations.
Contacting nominated companies on the awards for the full entry collateral and managing, collating and verifying the information received
Networking planning and internal project management
Devise the networking initiative with project team.
Attend weekly project meetings with the whole event team
Send weekly attendee lists to sponsors
Liaise with the Project team to confirm strategy, number of meetings, networking area onsite
Onsite meet with sponsors with all confirmed meetings and discuss if they would like to use networking area or take the meeting over to their stand
Sole contact for all Contact incoming related queries on all events operated by SA office
Marketing
Engage with sponsors and exhibitors to utilise marketing channels (web, newsletters, databases)
Blogging – acquire and blog white papers received from sponsors, exhibitors and seminar presenters
Actively participate in the inbound marketing of the event along with other team members.
