Our client in the freight/logistics sector requires a New Business Sales Executive, reporting directly to the Sales Director.

Purpose of the Job: The purpose of the job is to build business by identifying and selling prospects; maintaining relationships with clients.

Basic minimum requirements
• MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SUCCESSFUL SELLING RECORD IN THE FREIGHT/LOGISTICS/DISTRIBUTION INDUSTRY
• Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
• Must be computer literate.
• Have own reliable transport.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales
options.
• Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
• Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities;
recommending profit and service improvements.
• Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
• The ability to build client relationships
• Be able to negotiate

• Must have at least a minimum of 2 years Sales experience
• Presentation Skills

• Need to be able to work independently
