New parts planning and implementation and PEX and Company Reman ordering of parts for the group
PSEL analysis to identify correct new parts requirements
Ensure parts availability at the correct time in the equipment cycle
Maintain and manage and report on relative performance by machine model
Accurately manage, maintain and create the Z1 MRP types in SAP
Revision and analysis of parts implemented by analyzing movement of Z1 parts in 2, 6 and 12 months history and keep all Parts Managers informed of relative service performance trends

Requirements of Candidates

Qualification: Degree IT/ Supply Chain/ Logistics
An understanding of logistics and Inventory Planning
The person will have advanced Excel skills and SAP knowledge
Ability to work with various people in various divisions throughout Southern Africa
The candidates will have the savvy to understand and want to grasp the business and its challenges quickly
The candidate will have experience with working with machines, this would include working with parts for earthmoving machinery, or you would consider candidates from the Motor industry
The ability to grasp customers’ needs
Ability to conceptualise and implement Lead-time analysis
Ability to grasp what parts would be required , where and when (parts availability),
Analyse movement of parts as well as planning Service Performance trends
Ability to manage obsolescence / surplus inventory and credit returns
Strong Project Management and Planning skills/ability
The person should be Process driven
A good communicator – written and verbal , with the ability to communicate in simple terms
Ability to interpret and present data in a simple, logical and meaningful way, i.e. a good methodology
Business and financial acumen with sound communication skills
Knowledge of the CAT PSEL system is a must
Experience in forecasting, wear patterns and trend analysis
The important aspect is the ability to conceptualise, be pro-active and have excellent IT skills (particularly Excel).
