We invite you to apply for the position if you meet the requirements of the role: Main Purpose of the Job: The job incumbent is responsible for assuming full control of all areas of the Hotelfrom 23h00 to 08h00, ensuring the comfort, well-being and security of GUESTS inaccordance with agreed performance standards.The job incumbent is responsible for auditing, balancing and consolidatingdepartmental ledger accounts and prelists, prepares various Hotel operating reportsand assumes the duties of Front Office Receptionist/Cashier. May operate theswitchboard and answers and directs all in-coming calls and deals with telephonicGUEST enquiries during shift hours.Requirements: ? Must be able to read and write in order to complete Front Office administration andreporting and deal with GUEST registration, correspondence and records. Must beable to comprehend written policy instructions and operating manuals.? Must be able to do advanced accounting and mathematical calculations to deal withFront Office statistical reports, deal with receiving payment in acceptable forms,check GUEST folio accounts, calculate rates and discounts, etc.? Must be able to communicate verbally in English for the purposes of communicatingwith GUESTS and management.? Must be able to spend lengthy periods of time standing behind a desk and bephysically fit to respond to GUESTS requiring assistance in an emergency situation.? Minimum of Grade 12? The employee must be competent in operating a computer and entering data on akeyboard. Competency in operating the Property Management System must beachieved within 2 months.? The employee must be able to consistently apply the skills and knowledgerequirements of the job position in order to meet and exceed the minimum GUESTService Standards laid down.
