Our client is seeking a Night Manager whose property is based in the heart of Sandton.You will represent the Management during the night, and also assists the Front Office Manager and Food and Beverage Manager in all aspects of the department including but not limited to operations, planning, budgeting, staffing and payroll in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.The Night Manager provides leadership and support to all members of the Front Office and Food and Beverage and enforces the Hotels Standards of Excellence in all areas supervised.REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:Matric/Grade 12Must have experience working in a Hotl as a Night ManagerTertiary Hospitality QualificationMust enjoy working in the eveningsMust not mind working long hours on your feetMust be happy with working on the weekends and public holidaysMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a high standard of customer management, at all timesFulfil all reasonable requests from guests, to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safetyEnsure that our hotels are operated safely, at all timesUndertake overnight responsibility for reception, checking guests in and out, taking reservations and dealing with all telephone enquiries as well as all aspects of the Food and Beverage departmentMaintain knowledge of all company promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on requestBe responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests and the emergency services; be accountable for guests’ safety and comfortComplete security checks at hourly intervals throughout the nightComplete manager’s log book and maintain accurate records of all fire safety checks carried out during the shiftUndertake additional administration duties, as requested by the hotel managerAdhere to company policy for reporting accidents and incidentsMaintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training, attending courses and completing workbooksAlways adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing lawsBe involved and contribute at team meetingsCarry out instructions given by the management team and head officeShould you not receive a response within 2 weeks, please assume your application unsuccessful.
