A leading fish processing plant in Atlantis is looking to appoint a Night Shift Production Manager, who will be responsible to manage the effective running of the wet fish production department by achieving set targets. The successful candidate will have at least five years of Production Management experience working with fish products and should be a strong leader with excellent communication skills. Only candidates with experience in the fish industry will be considered.

The following are key responsibilities essential:

Delegate production requirements and ensure production figures are communicated
Ensure stock levels are sufficient to perform production
Ensure production runs are managed and functionality is at its fullest potential
Product temperature must be monitored
Ensure product specifications are met
Ensure department documentation is signed off and completed
Managing of staff
Assist to develop, implement and maintain HACCP system
Excellent professional work standard
Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate with staff at all levels
Honesty, Integrity & Reliability
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Critical thinking capabilities
Apply urgency in work done – report faults urgently
Self-motivated: Ability to work with little supervision and willingness to learn
Strong ability to multitask and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good time management
Must have own transport
Qualifications:

Grade 12
Qualification in production and or operation or any other related qualification
Any additional qualifications in Quality Control and/or Food Safety advantageous
HACCP and GMP ‘s knowledge advantageous
Microsoft Office skills
General

Working hours will be 17:30 – 03:00 (hours may fluctuate due to production requirements).

Weekends will be required as per production requirements.
