Requirements
? Qualified Professional Nurse
? Experience with commissioning a new hospital an advantage
? At least five years relevant experience in a management position
? Registration with SANC and proof of indemnity cover are pre - requisites
? A pleasant disposition and excellent interpersonal/ communication skills are vital
? Excellent leadership abilities

Key outputs
? Manage the total quality of the nursing care of the hospital
? Manage the administrative policies, procedures and protocols that support the nursing services
? Manage Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Risk principles
? Manage the HR practices for the nursing staff
? Ensure a positive working environment conducive to Continuous Professional Development
? Monitor staffing levels based on the departmental acuity levels
? Oversee the review and update of the nursing policies and procedures
? Oversee the adherence of all nursing statutory requirements
? Provide a daily hospital report
? Report all hospital issues to the Hospital Manager and the Executives
? Develop, implement and evaluate the nursing strategic plans and sub-unit strategic plans in correlation to the Group Business Plan
? Oversee a monthly clinical audit meeting with the Unit Managers
? Attend to ad hoc queries and meetings
