JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the OG. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• To provide leadership and direction to the staff and ensure efficient use of human resources
• To implement continuous financial, audit and control systems in order to monitor business performance
• To prepare and present for the approval of the annual budget and all financial plans that may be required from time to time.
• To perform the role of Internal control officer for the OG
• To liaise with Head office on all reporting responsibilities of the OG
• To monitor the working Capital and cash flow for the OG.
• To monitor and report on the PMO process for the OG.
• To monitor and review monthly results for the OG including the forecast process.
• To co-ordinate the strategy process for the OG
• To represent the OG on all central head office committees.
• To ensure that the Finance Function is managed according to applicable legislation, GAAP and IFRS.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Relevant Degree: Accounting/ Cost Management Accounting/ B Com Accounting or similar qualification
• Registered Chartered Accountant is essential

EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of five years related work experience at a senior level in a large company, preferably within the construction industry.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Previous experience in an accountant role, working with numbers and mathematical concepts
• Strong technical and accounting skills
• Has previous exposure to tools and techniques for accounting and reporting
• Proven experience working with accounting/financial software
• Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at different levels
• Good understanding, utilisation of financial, marketplace, consumer and economic information
• Skilled in managing the flow of transactions in an integrated accounting function
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Has the ability to work to deadlines and adapt a flexible approach to meet business needs
• Advanced computer skills using the MS Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel)
