A challenging OHS Manager post that will offer daily variety to the aspiring candidate.
Job Purpose:-
Ensuring compliance with legislation in Safety Health and Environment. To ensure that all safety legislations are adhered to and policies and practices are adopted. Help to plan, implement, monitor and review occupational health problems, accidents and injuries in the workplace and design preventative measures to minimise operational losses.
Develop H&S strategy for the company and its divisions:-
Ensure that all service providers, contractors and divisions have an H&S plan.
Educational Requirements:-
Grade 12
Tertiary Qualification in a Related Field
At least 5 years’ experience,
Should have a solid knowledge of HSE legislation and technical knowledge
Job Specifications:-
Actively identify areas for improvement and contribute to plans aimed at reducing the occurrence of incidents.
Ensure that site teams are proactive, up to date and comply with current health, safety and environmental legislation, best practice and Company standards.
Undertake monitoring of the health, safety and the environment processes.
Assist with the investigation of incidents to establish the root cause and preventative measures.
Develop and maintain a ‘continuous improvement’ ethos in the approach to health, safety and environmental issues
Ensure site based management are focused on delivering a safe and healthy working environment.
Support the Divisions and Operation Management teams in all aspects of health, safety and the environment performance and management.
Ensure understanding of health and safety requirements at all levels
·Ensure appropriate training for health and safety champions, representatives and management
Ensure training and refresher training to maintain compliance occurs
Work closely with senior management in the company
Responsibilities:-

Operational control.
Emergency preparedness and response.
Conduct internal audits.
Performance measuring, monitoring and improvement.
Safety Audit to monitor Contractors/Sub-Contractors/Suppliers
