Instructional Designer is required for a Private Educational Academic Industry based in Sandton. R500K ctc p.a.

Requirements
• An Honours Degree (or a recognized equivalent ) in educational technology, instructional design or a related field
• A minimum of four years experience in the design and development of online learning materials
• Experience in working on online learning management systems such as Blackboard or SAKAI
• Blackboard Certified Trainer status is an advantage but not a requirement

Key Performance
Consultation -
• Provide consultation and support in the theoretical and practical approaches to the use of technology in education
Programme and module planning -
• Implement strategies to develop appropriate online content for existing (face-to-face/contact) and future (fully online)
• Work collaboratively with Heads of Programmes and teams of Subjects Mater Experts

Material Development -
• Apply the module design framework of The IIE in the development of learning material for modules and programmes in co-operation with Subject Matter Experts and Head of Programmes
• Assist in the quality assurance process of developed materials
• Project manage the above-mentioned development initiatives

Training and Development -
• Facilitate the training of staff in the integration of technology into materials that support online teaching and learning
• Support the training of lecturers and students by quality assuring and co-developing appropriate training interventions
