Our client, a mining company with its operations in Africa would like to interview suitable candidates for a contract fly-in-fly-out position of Maintenance Manager – mobile fleet. Single status position with a six day working week.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Applicable degree or equivalent
• Africa experience advantageous.
• 10 years hands on experience in a senior role responsible for managing the maintenance of a large mobile fleet of mobile equipment up to 300 tonnes, electric and diesel shovels, the electrical reticulation, and in pit pumping (very wet environment)
• Must have experience on electrics and pumping.
• Fluency in English, and some French (advantageous).
• Excellent people skills with the ability to manage the maintenance personnel
• Needs to be able to manage the fleet, sort out planning, training, be very hands on and get things going
• Strong organizing and planning skills
• Ability to operate within a multicultural environment

OTHER INFORMATION:
• Leave is 84 days per annum
• The rotation is not a given it must fit in with business/departmental priorities and be approved by the Line Manager in advance of booking, some people do 8:2, some 9:3 and it doesn’t have to be stringent, but all South Africans must do 10 weeks (63 days) continuously in anyone tax year out of the Country to retain tax free status.
