Job description
There is an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic individual to join the Airfreight PharmaChain operations. He/she will be responsible for the implementation, support & monitoring of KN PharmaChain within their sphere of responsibility As part of the (station) airfreight management team and in close collaboration with the KN Pharma National Key Account Manager (NV-KP) he/she ensures that all shipments within his/her control are in compliance with the KN PharmaChain product and all service related topics are resolved. In conjunction with QSHE he/she will ensure compliance to the current KN GXP standards are maintained.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Implementation and support of the KN PharmaChain product portfolio.
• Monitoring of usage and performance of KN PharmaChain.
• Support and consulting of station teams for critical or first time pharma and healthcare movements.
• Authors and uploads station specific working instructions and Customer SOPs within Pharma Document Management System (DMS) / SOP Generator.
• Implementation leads for business expansions / new business awards at station(s) within sphere of responsibility.
• Deliver KN PharmaChain minimum standards for every booked shipment.
• Lead / participate in investigate pharma shipment deviation and author / contribute to CAPA reports.
• Keep up to date with KN global and country specific GXP standards and regulatory / requirements.
• Implement product developments and enhancements to globally agreed timescales / roll out plan.
• Analyse competition and market data to provide continuous improvements to the Kuehne+Nagel global product team.
• Communicate product development-, pricing-, contract-, etc. changes to station teams.
• Support airfreight operations teams in all industry related requirements and be the escalation contact for all queries.

Your skills and experience
• Relevant commerce degree/diploma will be a distinct advantage.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in freight forwarding industry with exposure to the international environment.
• Knowledge of any of pharma & healthcare supply chain needs will be a distinct advantage.
• Service oriented and able to drive root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills especially in English.
• Self-disciplined and self-motivated to achieve targets.
• Excellent understanding of the seafreight market and ability to research, analyse and interpret trends through advanced data manipulation in Excel.
• Ability to work in a team and proactively share information to enable customer excellence.
• Proven-in depth understanding of relevant statutory requirements for the seafreight import and export markets.
• Candidates must be South African citizens or hold applicable work permits to work in the country. Suitable candidates will be subject to relevant background checks to ensure internal governance and customer requirements are fulfilled.
