The client is a well know FSP, they are looking for the right candidate who can assist with the refinement and management of the finance function for a several statutory entities within the company. The role will entail a statutory, reporting and financial management component which will inter alia include the day to day running of the accounting function and providing finance support to the business (business partner).

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• B Com (Hons) Accounting Sciences
• CA (SA) - Preferable
• 2 to 5 years operational finance and reporting experience of which at least 2 years must have been at a middle management level, or higher
• A RPL (recognition of prior learning) process may be considered for this role in conjunction with minimum qualifications

ROLE OUTPUTS

Perspective: Process

• Oversee the end to end financial function for several legal entities in order to ensure that reports and submissions are accurate and timely and financial assets are appropriately controlled. The function would be responsible for at least the following: Statutory, management and regulatory reporting, reconciliations and control, accounting, taxation, process development and refinement.
• Assist in the planning, developing and refining of the finance operating model as the needs and requirements of the business change.
• Focussed on continually striving to improve reporting timelines and the quality and relevance of financial information being reported.
• Assist in refining and maintaining the internal financial control monitoring, reporting and auditing frameworks.
• Facilitate delivery of financial and administrative support services to the business as a finance business partner.
• Provide insight and analysis to users of financial information by providing commentary thereon, including any trend analysis.
• Assistance with the annual budget process.
• Liaise with external and internal auditors.
• Accountable for the full ledger function for the legal entities, including set-up and monthly maintenance.
• Ensure that the Finance operating framework and model is adequately, but realistically, budgeted for through the development and implementation of a fit for purpose budget.

• Build and maintain excellent relationships between the Finance team and key internal interest groups.

• Participate in the design and application of a stakeholder feedback capability in respect of Finance service delivery.
