MAIN JOB PURPOSE

• Support the Training centre in operations requirements
• Implementing and managing all processes relating to the SETA’s ETQA systems
• Responsible for management and co-ordinating learners at the workplace

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Must be in a possession of a National Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) in any trade or Technical National Diploma or Equivalent
2. 5-10 years Engineering industry work experience post qualification.
3. Knowledge and understanding of Apprenticeship training processes.
4. Understanding and experience with SETA’s Skills Development and ETQA systems
5. Effective communication skills in English are essential however the ability to communicate in other official languages would be advantageous
6. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
7. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
8. Experience in client liaison and stakeholder management
9. Experience in Sales and Marketing
10. Driver’s licence and own transport is essential

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful incumbent will be responsible for Operational support; ETQA management and learner’s workplace co-ordinating. Tasks will include (but not limited to):

Operational Support
Assist and support Training Centre with Operational requirements
Assist with adherence to OHS compliance
Report compiling when required
Cost and expenditure management
SETA’s ETQA Management
Ensure that all the SETA’s required compliance documentation is in place
Perform quality control on Learnership Agreement forms and compliance process
Responsible for SETA’s internal and External Audits
Apprentice Workplace Management
Co-ordinate Apprentices on all sites where the Contractor has placed Apprentices for workplace
First contact person for any Apprentices issues related to workplace training, HR issues, OHS related issues and all other emergencies that may arise.
Review and assess Apprentice progress in line with appropriate quality assurance for the workplace placement leg of the Apprenticeship.
Respect needs and opinions of the Client, the Workplace Hosting Company and Apprentices
