CANDIDATE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Financial Diploma / Degree

Work experience:
• At least 3 years’ experience in the same or similar position within in a 4/5-star hotel
• Pastel experience would be beneficial
• MS Office (Word, Excel and Email) is essential
• Opera experience would be beneficial

Other:
• Must be a South African Citizen
• Must have a valid Driver’s Licence
• Must reside in the Langebaan area
• Reliable, responsible and dependable to fulfil obligations
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to lead, take charge and offer direction
• Ability to multitask
• Show initiative by taking control of task
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly and service orientated

Tasks (include but not limited to):
• Daily banking
• Posting of Absa deposits on Pastel
• Credit Card & Cash recon
• Front Office Controls - check open accounts, house accounts, payments and all relevant controls
• Stock take as per procedures
• Regular stock takes
• Cost of Sales controls
• Update Micros prices & check void reports
• Ideal Stock capturing of invoices and check orders
• Petty Cash breakdown send month end
• In-house accounts breakdown
• Monthly hours & Tips to be submitted on the correct dates
• Salary check list before final signing of salaries
• Update Cellphone & advance recon
• Updating Roosters and make sure each employee works the correct hours
• Home Owners – make sure all the contracts are in place and updated
• Compile revenue journal
• From time to time assist Financial Manager when requested
• Duty Manager shift every 3rd week (+-)
