Operations Controller – Logistics / Transport - Stellenbosch

Well established Logistics Company is looking for an Operations Controller to schedule, execute and co-ordinate the primary freight loads, pallet management, claims reconciliation, customer service levels, KPI reporting and daily system administration.

Minimum Requirements
• Matric, Qualification will be an advantage
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant transport environment
• Microsoft Office
• Daily Rate management
• Claims experience

Key Responsibilities
• Daily receiving and processing of transport orders
• Daily planning, routing and scheduling of vehicles in a timeous manner
• Ensuring that all loads are adequately insured
• Assisting claims department in finalizing claims
• Ensuring the tracking and capturing of information regarding Chep pallets
• Daily measurement of key performance indicators in accordance with each client’s service level agreement (SLA)
• Day to day building and management of a service driven and professional relationship with all key contacts at the client / warehouse / loading point / delivery point and subcontractors
• Assist POD department with outstanding queries
• Following the necessary Claims, Accident, Hi-Jack and CHEP pallet procedures
• Nightshift handover (Briefing/Debriefing)
