OPERATIONS CONTROLLER – NATIONAL:

A well-established company within the Logistics/Transport Industry based in Parow East, Cape Town is looking to employ an Operations Controller – National.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Attend to quotes requests received & obtaining / negotiating of buying rates where standard rates are not applicable
• Logging of quote requests on CargoWise One
• Negotiating with carriers for quotes
• Sending out of quotes to clients via CargoWise One
• Contacting transporters and booking trucks for confirmed orders
• Handling COD clients and relevant procedures on CargoWise One
• Logging order in order book and onto CargoWise One
• Send orders to transporters via CargoWise One
• Keep order book and CargoWise One up to date and accurate, and hand over for invoicing
• Keep up to date with weekly client call lists
• Assist with the collecting of POD’s
• Evaluating new carriers / suppliers and getting them onto our supplier database
• Assist on after hour tracking and reporting / office duties as and where applicable
• Will be requested to work after hours from time to time
• Total compliance with the National SOP

Requirements:
• Matric
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the transport / road freight industry (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
• Extraordinary knowledge of various vehicle configurations / restrictions
• High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office and CargoWise One
• Exceptional Breakbulk Long-Distance Transport experience to complement our National Operations Department
• High level of numeracy
• Excellent communication (written and verbal)
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Salary: R120 000.00 – R144 000.00 per annum and Company Mobile
