RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced OPERATIONS CONTROLLER (TRANSPORT INDUSTRY) for a national concern – position based in Cato Ridge.

PERSON SHOULD PREFERABLY BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY!

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
Person must be English / Afrikaans speaking.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Person should have previous tanker haulage experience.
Must be prepared to work night shift.
Despatch Drivers, tacho charts, trem cards, route plans, diesel card, PPED.
Process trip sheets, ensure correct physicals are entered, check that all necessary documents are present and signed, calculate consumption and work with consumption limits, mark overtime and attempted cartages, linking trip sheets, marking received trip sheets.
Daily wash bay bookings.
Send customer ETA’s daily.
Complete Driver’s overtime schedule.
Review fuel consumption - data capturing.
Create trip sheets, create loading instructions, create loading instructions, cleanliness certificates, daily trip log.
Manage Wash bay - ensure correct tanks are being cleaned, ensure tank is clean, ensure tank is correctly boarded, issue seals and gaskets when necessary,
Organise inspections, sampling and COA’s with SGS.
Schedule orders received.
Customer contact - status of vehicles, ETA’s, Delays.
Create preliminary daily schedule.
Monitor drivers progress, answer driver calls, ensure they get through loading points (overtime, correct order number, PPE, ETC), ensure they arrive at offloading point on time, ensure they offloaded in a reasonable time.
Problem solving.
Filing - Driver declaration, damage checklist, security sign in sheet, vehicle weekly checklist, Trip Check sheet, Diesel sheet.
Review Cost Centres (Fuel, Overtime, PPE).

Salary package offered: - R12 000-00 - R15 000-00 per month (CTC) (negotiable, depending on previous experience) + overtime.
