KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1.      Manage Client Relationships

·          Keep clients updated daily on the status of their shipments.
·          Liaise with clients at every level i.e. vessel bookings, stuffing updates, sailing updates and any other issues pertaining to the shipment, collect Customers from the airport and take them to the warehouse for inspections.
·          Maintain client relationships

2.      Administration

·          Provide adhoc quotes to clients, e.g ocean freight, transport movements that are out of the usual scope.
·          Arrange accurate documentation.
·          Ensure file activities are completed at each stage.
·          Ensure data is captured accurately on the IT system.
·          Ensure that the entries are done accurately and stocks are drawn from bond as per customer instruction.
·          Invoice clients timeously and according to the agreed rates.
·          Cost supplier and transporter invoices timeously and ensure they accurate.
·          Complete costing sheet accurately.
·          Complete and submit a weekly forecast to Accounts every Friday by 14h30.
·          Send month end stock-lists to the customer.
·          Invoice monthly storage by the 28th of every month.

3.      Logistics Management

·          Track inbound import and outbound trucks.
·          Source new transporters.
·          Liaise with border clearing agents.
·          Ensure containers are stacked for the nominated vessel.
·          Ensure the warehouse understands the customer requirements i.e. labelling position, no of beetle traps, photos.
·          Regular visits to the warehouse to see your cargo.

4.      Management of Supplier and Satellite Offices Relationships.

·          Liaise with suppliers.
·          Liaise with satellite offices i.e be aware of your client’s activities.
·          Securing rates with the transporters and shipping lines.


5.      Deploy and Company Specific Projects

·          Deploy any company specific projects in line with company standards and in agreement with Manager.
·          Be eager to learn new things.


6.      Processes and Procedures

·          Ensure all policies and procedures are deployed throughout the area of responsibility.
·          Ensure all interactions are captured on the relevant systems in the approved manner.
·          Take instructions from your line manager.

Position specifications
1.      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
·          Grade 12/Std 10
·          At least three years related experience
·          Administration experience
·          Logistics Experience
·          Knowledge of customs and border clearing
