Our client in the Hospitality industry urgently seeks the services of an Operations Manager for their establishment in Cape Town.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage a staff compliment of +- 600 staff
Control and manage stock
Control and manage cash including banking
Control and manage assets
Banqueting Management & control
Analyze and interpret daily unit results
Determine and implement corrective / proactive action
Manage point of sale system
Support the implementation of the Business Plan
Support and guidance to Management team
Knowledge of operational standards of Client
Control Costs
Financial Feasibility of the unit
Management of overall profitability and budgets of the unit in its entirety
Ensure good staff relations to maintain a comfortable and productive working environment
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
Manage team performance
Manage Customer/Client relationship
Forecasting & Budgeting ability/expertise
Be competent in leading your management team and associates to achieve operational excellence.
Be able to control, manage and maintain excellent operational standards at the respective outlets including but not limited to cost control, stock control, quality control in food and beverage.
Be able to adhere to prescribed company and client standards attached with the highest level of guest and staff satisfaction.
Be able to plan, organize, direct and control the day-to-day running of the operation as well as the associates in the outlet under your control in order to achieve your financial targets.
To have a good business acumen in dealing with all financial aspects of the operations.
Be able to deal with all labour issues effectively in order to avoid any workplace disputes and create a harmonious environment conducive to increased staff productivity
Be able to provide creative solutions on any challenges within company parameters and ensure good corporate governance
Be able to manage with uncompromising integrity, honesty and compassion

Effectively report on the daily, weekly & monthly progression of the operation to Senior Management
To establish excellent relationships with guests, the client and your team in order to ensure satisfaction levels remains on a high.

Requirements:
Skills, Experience & Educational

Matric qualification
Tertiary education in Hospitality
Hospitality experience - 5 star environments (5-7 years)
Management experience (5-7 years)
Experience in a Banqueting environment
Experience in Hotel management advantageous
Experience in dealing with unions advantageous.
Excellent communication Skills
Strong analytical skills, decision making, problem solving, results focused individual
Self- motivated & disciplined
High attention to detail
An excellent command of the English language
Computer literacy – MS office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, knowledge of micros advantageous)
South-African citizenship
Driver’s license essential
Knowledge of SA Labour law
