Operations Manager

Security
Responsible for implementing standard operating procedures , maintaining security standards , security guard job descriptions, co-ordinating awareness and competence training with external security company. Analysis of risk assessment audits and address findings.Responsible for quarterly and annual shut down procedures.

Maintenance
Manage maintenance teams , both building maintenance and Factory / Equipment maintenance. (
2 managers and 10 staff )
Responsible for preventative maintenance

Health and Safety – Appointed Health and Safety officer
Responsibilities include, developing, implementing, and monitoring the company’s health and safety policy, programs and procedures.
Responsible for budget proposals for training for health and safety.

Stores / Procurement
Responsible for purchasing of raw materials as per production forecast.
Responsible for weekly / daily stock counts
Responsible for ensuring correct storage , security of stored goods, receiving procedures and timely dispatch of goods.
Planning and arranging for specific requirements of fragile or flammable goods
Responsible for stock control systems and planning of future capacity requirements.
Reporting , eg , consumable usage reports .
Analysis of reports to monitor wastage and proper stock contro
Regular supplier meetings to discuss and negotiate pricing, availability of stock, new product development, service standards and procurement processes.


Production
Responsible for production in coating plant
Spervision of senior coating plant manager
Production planning , incl , raw materials, packaging and consumables.
Responsible for production effencies and monitoring of loss percentages
Daily operations, incl, general housekeeping and staff management

Waste Management
Energy Consumption
Calibration of equipment
Managing Control Room assistant ( eg cameras, weekly payroll)
Upkeep of Premises
ADHOC Projects ( eg water management, tenant requirements icc.)
