OPERATIONS MANAGER: RETAIL (03 Months FTC)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Assisting selected Mozambique retailers by introducing systems, policies, management disciplines and best operating practices which will result in the growth and profitability of these stores.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Implementation of operational systems, policies, management disciplines and best operating practices.
• Ensure 100% range and in-stock availability for all orders placed instore from Nelspruit, Dropshipment suppliers and other Mozambique based suppliers.
• Communication with Operations, Exports and Marketing teams
• Ensuring that store standards are upheld according to company specifications and the respective hygiene and store standards audits
• Analysing and accurately interpreting of store performance statistics and benchmarks to improve poor performing areas in their stores
• Advise and assist retailers with retail growth, profitability, financial measurement, cash flow, systems and processes
• Act as an interface between operations in Mozambique and South Africa, not limited to the retail component of our business;

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

• Sound retail business acumen
• 5 years senior retail store management experience
• Self-starter
• Portuguese – speak, read and write
• Computer literacy – MS Excel (advanced), MS Projects (an
advantage)
• Cost control work ethic
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Be willing to travel extensively

SALARY PACKAGE:
• R30 000 p/m plus travel allowance, living out allowance, cell
phone allowance
