Responsible for the overall success of the Steel Service Center and the Steel & fabrication business.
- Will be heavily involved in the Strategy, Sales and all Operations of our steel business
- Will have accountability for the Steel Division, lead the inside sales staff, accountability for inventory control, oversight of steel buying, and actively support the outside sales activities in conjunction with corporate goals.
- Commit to the success of our customers and our co-workers and do what it takes to get the job done right
- 5-10 years of Management experience in Steel Service or Structural Steel fabrication experience required.
- "HANDS-ON" experience in the layout, fitting, and welding of structural steel, pipe, plate and sheet metal is required
- Strong working relationship with key steel vendors and particularly with the Mills.
- Working knowledge of all welding methods, procedures, certifications, and quality control.
- Working knowledge of all typical Steel shop tools, machinery and equipment.
- The ability to communicate and work effectively with managers, field personnel, customers, and employees.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
