A hotel in Richards Bay is looking for an experienced Operations Manager.The successful incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:Effective Leadership, manage and oversee all departments within the Hotel. Plan and manage the day to day operations effectively. Drive the broader goals of the Hotel in relation to all outlets mentioned above.Drive the Hotels’ Rooms and F&B Divisions Business plan, to ensure consistent Acquisition and Maintenance of GUESTS.The managing of HR paperwork for the entire hotel.Facilitate TEAM development through the Training Plan.Ensure the required policies, procedures and administrative systems and controls are in place.Day to day GUEST interaction to receive feedback and actively implement necessary action.Forecast anticipated volumes of business and plan accordingly.Revenue Management, managing hotel rates.Manage the process of balancing hotel inventory between Marsha and Opera.Overseeing and assisting in departmental stock takes.Compilation of all Rooms and F&B reports.Adherence to all company practices.Involvement in the recruitment process of Departmental STAFF. Leading, training and motivating the TEAM.Drive the hotel’s quality plan and implement all required standards.To stand in and perform the duties of an Acting General Manager in the absence of the General Manager.Involvement in the hotel’s disciplinary process, including initiating and chairing enquiries.The following are the requirementsGrade 12; National Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification would be an advantage3 years’ experience in a Senior Hotel Management positionExtremely GUEST service drivenAbility to work accurately under pressureExcellent planning and organizational skillsTime management skills are essentialComputer literacy including the following – Opera, MS OfficeExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExceptionally well groomed and presentableValid driver’s license - own transport is essentialPlease forward a full CV, recent photo and contactable references
