The ICT Operations Manager will lead an IT team with a broad remit that includes, Service Desk, Infrastructure Services, Network Services, Technical Support, Platforms and Service Delivery Managers
Qualifications and Skills:
- Matric/Grade 12.
- Tertiary ICT Qualifications.
- ITIL Certification.
- A minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience in an ICT Operations Management role.
- A strong background in network and infrastructure technologies.
- Expertise in planning and budgeting.
- Proven people management skills.
- Strong project management and problem solving skills.
- Passion for the delivery of high quality solutions to our customers.
Skills Required:
- Develop and drive the ICT Roadmap & Strategy for the business.
- Responsible for continuous improvement across all operational aspects of ICT.
- Ensure maximum ICT infrastructure availability.
- Manage all operational faults, ensuring resolution in accordance with SLA’s and all corrective actions taken.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and seek new technologies to support the business.
- Build relationships with all managers and support their business requirements.
- Manage the delivery of change in the ICT infrastructure ensuring operational stability.
- Manage the onsite ICT team in their daily operational duties creating a high performance environment.
- Set and manage ICT departmental objectives in line with strategic initiatives.
- People Management responsibility
- Manage delivery of all customer driven requirements for ICT infrastructure including both corporate and event driven requirements.
- Manage operational costs identifying and generating cost savings where appropriate.
- Review, improve and implement company ICT operational policy in agreement with management.
- Management of ICT vendor relationships and oversee problem resolution in accordance with SLA’s.
- Identify, evaluate and facilitate delivery of business processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness through technology.
- Ensure process adherence records are retained and auditable.
- Lead the planning, scheduling and delivery of ICT Services, in line with SLAs and KPIs, ensuring client expectations are exceeded.
- Responsibility for business continuity planning and testing.
- Actively support the sales / event planning process and identify opportunities for the upsell of ICT services.
Salary: R 50 000 – R 60 000 per month depending on work experience and skill level.
