This position will be responsible for all operational functions with 6 staff directly reporting to him

Key performance areas of the Position
-       Review and adjust our stock position to support the sales effort, whilst maintaining an acceptable return on capital employed.
-       Excess and obsolete stock should be minimized and the necessary provisions made according to P257.
-       Manage the stock holding and stock counting process to ensure reliable stock holding data and minimum stock adjustments.
-       Ensure that the MRP system is managed properly.
-       Update standard costing on imports
-       Roll out the updated sales price lists whenever price increases are put through.
-       Manage the entire supply chain to meet customer order due dates.
-       Price variance on purchasing should be controlled effectively & responsibly rolled up
-       Ensure that we purchase quality products from approved vendors at the lowest cost.
-       Develop our preferential procurement supplier base to maximize our BBBEE recognition.
-       Overheads costs should be controlled as per the annual plan
-       You should initiate and drive change and efficiency initiatives within your area of responsibility
-       Ensure that the Fabrication and Assembly & Repairs departments are run efficiently and that the required labour efficiency levels are achieved.
-       Ensure that Fabrication and Assembly & Repairs activities are planned properly to support the sales effort.
-       Ensure that our internal products are manufactured, assembled and repaired at the lowest cost possible.
-       Manage overtime.
-       Ensure that our products comply with required quality standards.
-       Manage the Company’s Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental systems and maintain the necessary standards.
-       Maintaine the ISO system and certification
-       Ensure that our Engineering design standards are upheld and that we comply with the latest legislation.
-       Ensure employees receive the necessary training to enable them to perform their duties effectively.  Balance the skills with the tasks that need to be performed. 
-       To maintain and develop the IT systems of the company in line with Group requirements.
-       Optimize our logistics cost without compromising customer service.
-       Manage all aspects of our facilities, including repairs and maintenance.
-       Address Ad-hoc issues to achieve the overall goals of the sales department
