Established Company looking to appoint an Operations Officer.
Matric.
Own car and valid Driver's License.
Degree or B.Tech in Plant/Mechanical/Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
Min. 5 Years Petrochemical experience.
Good working knowledge of the process industry.
Good knowledge of standard office systems and software programs.
Duties include:
- small to large plant and process modifications
- performing HAZOPS and risk assessments
- research and development (process, products and equipment)
- comply with SHEQ procedures
- participate in response drills
- identify and report all plant and equipment defects
- read tank farm related periodicals and discriminates information
- assist with internal ISO audits
- lead modification proposals
- participate in hazard and operability studies
- handle small to large projects
- participate in plant commissioning
- assist in developing and changing ISO procedures
- technical investigations
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Good conflict management skills.
Previous experience with analysis of process systems and improvements.
Petrochemical industry experience essential.
Good report writing skills.
Ability to prioritize.
Honest and reliable.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to travel Nationally.
Salary: R25k to R35k plus medical aid, provident fund, cell allowance, petrol allowance, meal allowance.
