Centurion: R14 500.00 P/Month CTC
Purpose:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory and associated documentation. People management responsibilities include training, planning and assigning daily work, monitoring performance, escalating performance issues, and resolving problems
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Minimum of 3 years Infor WM10 experience.
• Ability to work extended hours when required.
• Extensive knowledge about Inbound, CycleCount, Outbound and Return processes & workflows - Experience in investigating and troubleshooting of stock discrepancies
• Understanding of or qualification in operations management
• Must be able to do all managerial functions (Planning; Organizing; Directing; Controlling; Monitoring) independently.
• Must be able to meet customer expectations and ensure compliance with Policies; Regulations; WI’s and work demand.
• Must be able to work under constant pressure
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract logistics.
• Minimum of 3 years people management experience applying disciplinary action, applying policies & procedures
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in client relationship management.
• Stock control and storekeeping experience.
• Knowledge and experience QMS, OHS, SHE, ISO and Continuous Improvement Processes and Risk Management.
• Experience implementing policies and procedures. Ensure strict adherence to WI’s.
Duties:
Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and dispatch areas including: Responsible for filling and shipping customer orders, receiving, inventory management and the ensuring the availability of pallets. Ensure the accuracy of shipment and supporting CL documentation, receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel. Ensure that inventory transactions are accurately logged. Ensure all customer and warehouse targets are met on a daily basis in line with defined KPI’s. Responsible for Health, Safety, Environment, Facility compliance and Risk (SHERQ) ensuring the update, communication and implementation to all warehouse staff. Ensure that the team is compliant with all work instructions and standard operating procedures. Build and maintain long term positive relationships with the client. Meet all Quality Management (QMS) requirements for operations. Make recommendations for improving general warehouse operations. Be vigilant about warehouse security and the general condition of stock, reporting any damages in time. Identify and preempt situations and risks within the operation that may impact the operation and ability to deliver commitments. Motivate warehouse staff in order to maintain morale.
