Our client based in Pretoria is looking for an Oracle Application Database Administrator to add to their team on a permanent basis

Candidate Responsibilities:
• Research, design, implement and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite(EBS) solutions
• Install, configure, upgrade, administer, monitor and maintain complex multi-database environments and participate in the design and creation of complex databases;
• Monitor and evaluate Oracle EBS database environments to optimize performance;
• Plan, organize, test and execute migration of database from development and test to production environments
• Install and test new releases, bundles and fixes and ensure that data security protocols are maintained and backup/recovery processes are completed as scheduled;
• Engineer, implement and maintain fit for purpose solutions, to support business strategies and outcomes, within legislative, governance and good practice requirements;
• Establish and maintain database security parameters to protect data from potential theft as well as apply critical patch updates to address security vulnerabilities;
• Anticipate, prevent, detect and resolve database problems and thereby continually refine maintenance tasks;
• Optimize database architecture to ensure adequate availability and capacity levels
• Design, engineer, implement and release database solutions, which complies with project, architecture and Information Technology Infrastructure Library frameworks;
• Innovate relevant technology that could improve the effectiveness of ICT operations
• Provide specialized technical systems analysis and support to customers ensuring effective internal and external services are delivered
• Provide technical leadership to junior staff to ensure growth and development of skills pipeline and succession to the Enterprise Resource Planning environment.
