- Design skills beneficial
- Translate functional and technical requirements into code
- Responsible for quality of own work (logical and performance)
- SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning experience beneficial
- Report writing experience beneficial
- Competent at peer code reviews
- XML beneficial
- Data Warehouse experience beneficial
- Java beneficial
- Oracle Application Express experience beneficial
- Short Term Insurance industry experience beneficial
- Good work management & coordination skills
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements
- Mentor junior members of the team
Qualification & Experience:
- Preferably B Comm (IS) or BSc (Computer Science) or equivalent 3 year qualification
- Oracle Certified (beneficial)
- Applicable Oracle courses (beneficial)
- Minimum of 4-5 years Systems Development experience specifically in transactional systems
- Minimum of 4-5 years Oracle PL/SQL experience
