PBT Group has a requirement for an Oracle Developer to develop and architect Oracle application solutions and implement Oracle Forms and Database products. The Developer needs to contribute to the development, delivery and maintenance of technology-based business solutions.
 
Duties:
  • Development of/ or enhancements to applications based on specifications from business analysts.
  • Analyse, develop, document and maintain high quality business applications
  • Maintenance of existing applications.
  • The applications back-end will be developed using relational database design methodologies and written in Oracle11g.
  • The applications will also need to integrate to front-end Java systems.
  • Interact with users and business analysts to gather, interpret and understand business requirements.
  • Interact with project managers and provide work estimates for projects.
  • Skilled in designing, coding, testing, and implementing configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements.
  • Responsible for the development of the core application and/or new functionalities using PL/SQL and Oracle Forms, according to the functional analysis.
  • Definition, analysis and resolution of problems and incidents.
  • Build enterprise applications per environment on a central repository.
  • Manage the distribution and execution of application unit tests.
  • Testing of defects and/or enhancements.
  • Compile and distribute release notes.
 
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Oracle Developer, preferably in the Telco environment.
  • Experience developing custom Oracle Applications using PL/SQL in an Oracle environment
  • Experience with Oracle Forms configuration
  • Experience with Oracle Forms using Oracle Designer
  • Experience with establishing standard procedures/guidelines on content design, content management
  • Minimum of a 3 year relevant tertiary qualification
