Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent essential
A degree / diploma in Computer Science
3-5 years practical experience in Oracle PL/SQL
3-5 years practical experience in Oracle 9i forms or later
Knowledge of business processes
Thorough knowledge of Legacy, OO, Web or e-commerce systems
The ability to produce well-written documentation
Experience in Medical Aid industry will be advantageous
1-2 years practical experience in Java and JavaScript will be advantageous
1-2 years practical experience in Oracle ADF advantageous
1-2 years practical experience in WebSphere Application Server (WAS) advantageous
1-2 years practical experience in IBM DB2 advantageous

Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise into the Medical Aid Admin System.

Analysing, designing and production of technical system specifications to modify existing systems and develop new ones.
Responsible for enterprise-system implementation and all aspects of change-control at specific enterprise level.
Designing of tests.
Testing of the subsystem and interfaces between sub-systems.
Responsible for quality assurance at sub-system level.
Drafting of user documentation for the system.
Recommendation of modular design to be used and implementation thereof.
Liaising with client representatives and providing an advisory service to users.
