Our Client within the Manufacturing Industry, has a vacancy for a Packer to join their team in Paarl.

Requirements:

Good Communication skills

Ability to follow instructions

Numerical abilities

Organised/systematic

Literate (English and Afrikaans)

Team player

Duties Include:

Collection line

Collect the product and pack it into bundles.

Ensure the right quantity is packed on pallets

Ensure that the product adheres to job card specifications.

Pallets are wrapped and labelled correctly

Check and record quality and weights of packed products.

Boxes / Pallets are sealed correctly and look neat

Quality checks

Ensure the product adheres to the quality checks (3 samples per pallet / 1 sample per box)

Confirm that the right product is being produced according to the production job card

Ensure the correct label is on the products / pallet / box before submitting completed goods to the warehouse

Machinery / Maintenance

Work with machinery / near moving machinery

Report any breakdowns / problems to the Supervisor

Supplies control

Ensure the team has all the necessary tools to complete the job (scissors / tape / boxes) and for the shift after

Ensure that the Supervisor is aware of low supplies (Establish re-order levels within teams)

Market related salary, negotiable depending on experience.
