Overview:

The successful candidate will get an opportunity to create and run engaging campaigns on Adwords, Facebook and other platforms from start to finish. He/she will also gain some hands-on experience tracking these campaigns to see how they affect traffic to the website, as well as how this traffic translates into the meeting of client objectives in terms of website goal completions, and learn how to feed this back into website improvement. The team also liaises with account managers, SEO, creative and media teams in the co-ordination and delivery of powerful digital strategies for their clients.

Requirements:

• Degree in marketing, business or similar, but any would be considered.
• As the role can be quite varied, it typically suits well organised individuals.
• This internship will suit a recent graduate looking to learn a lot about the digital marketing industry, the various tools and content strategies being used by market leaders.
• Strong communication skills are a must as the PPC team deals with a number of different departments as well as clients and needs to get their point across in an efficient manner.
• Strong writing skills would be an advantage as the team is expected to contribute to the company blog.
• An analytical mind-set would also be a huge advantage due to the reporting analysis required as part of this team. Any experience with web analytic tools such as Google Analytics would be a huge plus.
• In order to get the most from this internship the ideal candidate would be detail orientated and happy taking in lots of new information quickly.
• Google Adwords certification would be very beneficial but not essential
• You should be confident with MS Office including Excel

Skills You Can Expect To Gain:

• You will become very familiar with managing account performance across multiple ad networks and communicating those results.
• An understanding of how to both create brand awareness and achieve acquisitions through digital channels.
• An insight into user experience and landing page design and testing.
• Insightful and clear report writing for clients.

What Is Our Last PPC Intern Doing Now?

Lead PPC strategist at an ecommerce marketing agency. One of the team lead’s past trainees is now employed at Google.

Term of Contract:
6 months (with an option to review for a permanent role thereafter, performance based)

Hours:
9.00 to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The schedule is ‘deadline-driven’ i.e. on occasions when deadlines are tight, work may be required outside these hours.

Accountability:
You will report directly to the head of PPC.
