A Managed Healthcare Company based in Sandton, has a vacancy for a Paralegal Assistant to the GM.
To perform contract administration, record keeping and other support functions. To assist the GM: Legal, Risk & Compliance of the Healthcare Group with general office operations, administrative and paralegal support in respect of legal matters, risk management and compliance.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Filing / Record Keeping
? Maintenance of existing filing systems and registers for contracts, other legal documents, trade marks, domain names and company records
? Diary management to ensure follow up on critical matters
Correspondence, Documentation & Presentations
? Typing of correspondence, reports, contracts, minutes, memorandums, presentations etc within agreed timelines
? Assist GM: Group Legal, Risk & Compliance with completion of statutory forms and other documents relating to corporate governance, annual returns, trade marks, domain names etc within agreed timelines
? Compilation of bundles of documents for submission (e.g. renewal of managed care organisation accreditation to Council for Medical Schemes)
Paralegal function
? Preparation of NDAs in accordance with standard templates
? Validation of contents of signed contracts and legal documentation by comparing against latest or previous versions to establish what changes, if any have been made
? Assist with monitoring of Government Gazettes and relevant websites in terms of the Group regulatory universe and preparation of draft emails in this regard
? Assisting with population of risk registers for all departments at the required standard and quality
? Taking of minutes and creation of action lists for follow up
? Assist with compliance matters for identified areas in accordance with agreed to timelines (e.g. Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) readiness project)
? Assist with monitoring of and reporting on organisational compliance to contractual service levels (SLAs) in conjunction with the GM: Group Legal, Risk & Compliance. This includes designing and implementing the measuring and monitoring of the SLAs.
General Office Operations & Administrative Support
? Provide departmental support to GM: Group Legal, Risk & Compliance and her staff
? Track departmental budget
? Pay invoices
? Order stationery and consumables

QUALIFICATIONS
? Matric / Grade 12
? Tertiary education advantageous
EXPERIENCE
? 5 - 7 years PA, legal secretary or paralegal experience essential.
