Paralegal officer/ Assistant Company Secretary
Contract for 5 Years
One of the top Housing Company that operates in all four corners of South Africa is currently recruiting for a Paralegal Officer. Purpose of the Job will be to assume and assist the Company Secretary with liaising with Attorneys on matters handed over for evictions and collections as well as assist with preparations for Board and Sub Committee meetings and drafting of contracts and service level agreements.

Education, Training and Experience
•A valid Grade 12 Certificate
•Legal degree or equivalent qualification
•Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in a civil litigation environment and/or corporate law/contract law
•A valid driver’s licence.

Key performance areas
• Assist in arranging on-boarding and training for Board Members
• Assist in the planning and co-ordination of the Annual General Meeting
• Schedule and co-ordinate Board meetings and its Sub-Committee meetings, including logistics of the meetings
• Take minutes at the Board Sub-Committee meetings
• Ensure compliance with CIPRO and other statutory requirements
• Liaise with the Revenue Department to implement Credit Control measures
• Assist in providing legal support to the Company as a whole
• Attend forums organised by the Shareholder
