My client, a five star Hotel and Restaurant based in Franschhoek, is seeking to employ a Pastry Sous Chef.

Requirements:

  • Worked in 5 star establishments 
  • Experience of pastry menu planning/design
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, storage, health standards
  • Versatile in providing different styles of pastries
  • Good understanding of nutrition, food allergies restrictions and choices

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the pastry section to maintain an exemplary level of food standards reflecting the needs and requirements of our guests and team members
  • Working closely with the kitchen team, and other departments to ensure a harmonious working atmosphere
  • Maintaining the highest level of hygiene as per the standards
