Key performance areas:

Payment solution strategy

? Input on development and enhancement of the payment solution strategies
? Identify, monitor and enhance processes across functional areas involved in execution of the payment solution strategy
? Payment solutions strategy to include various payment methods such as NAEDO, Authenticated Collections, Pay@, Direct Bank Deposit, Debit Order

Implement payment solution strategy in alignment with the company’s Vision, Mission and Strategic Objectives

? Research and benchmark payment solutions best practices and trends, nationally and internationally
? Set daily, weekly and monthly operations targets in alignment with business strategies and in support of client service

Implement, monitor and maintain automated collection processes, systems and practices in alignment with the payment strategy

? Benchmark and develop operations systems and practices to ensure alignment with industry standards and payment strategy
? Monitoring of payment solution strategy
? Input and recommendations on operational improvements
? Identify, monitor and enhance processes across multiple functional areas involved in the execution of the payment solution strategy
? Ensuring legal and contractual compliance of all payment

Measurement and reporting on Operations results

? Measure and monitor payment solution operational performance
? Daily, weekly and monthly tracking of relevant performance metrics
? Collaborate with Business Intelligence division to develop monitoring and reporting templates/dashboards to monitor and report on operational performance
? Collaborate with Finance Operations Manager to review and interpret processes and results;
? Weekly feedback reports to direct manager



Continue:
Oversee the transition to Authenticated Collections

? Ensure involvement in relevant industry forums
? Spec required system and process changes to limit the effect from the transition
? Post implementation monitoring

Manage Employer database and paydays

? Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the employer database
? Manage the utilization of the employer database to obtain paydates per employer and adjust strategy accordingly


The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a degree in Finance or relevant qualification
? 5 years financial operations experience in the financial services or retail sector with direct responsibility for:
o The collection of payments via automated services (debit order/NAEDO).
o Understanding of the intended Authenticated Collections process.
o Development of/input into the strategic direction of the collection of payments.
o Overseeing the implementation of the strategic plan by liaising with other functions within the organisation.
? Strong financial experience preferably within an automated debt recovery environment
? Good working knowledge of credit/ loan / financial products
? Experience within a finance operational environment
? Risk management experience
? Project management experience
? Strong technical system experience, preferably with automated payment solutions
? Strong analytical skills
? Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
? Proven leadership abilities
