Job Description:

The Group controls +-25 companies throughout South Africa and its operations are geographically spread throughout the country and employs +-500 employees. The goal of the Group is to centralize the processing and payment of salaries and wages to enable standardization of payroll processes, establishing control over payroll payments and standardizing employee information. We achieve our goal by implementing cloud based business resource solutions.
Implementation of payroll systems at our various subsidiaries in conjunction with the Group system implementation team
Overtime applications and approvals
Leave applications and approvals
Commission calculations and approvals
Staff loan applications and approvals
All other variable payroll component processes
Monthly payroll roll-forward and processing
Generating the monthly payroll journal report for review by the financial department
Uploading the monthly payroll journal into the Group accounting system
Generating payment runs from the payroll system and uploading onto the bank
Review and maintenance of employee master file information
Custody and filing of employee permanent information in hard copy and electronic
Ensuring statutory compliance with applicable labour laws and regulations, Department of Labour, SARS, etc.

Qualifications:

BCom; FinAcc
Payroll system experience (preferably Payspace)
Interest in technology and software
Candidate must be willing to travel from time to time
