We are on the lookout for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a large group within the Automotive industry. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced Payroll Administrator who is deadline driven and have a keen eye for detail. If you have experience within the automotive industry, this will be a big advantage. This important role will be responsible for running five separate payrolls, comprising of around 630 employees.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Manage the Biometrics system to ensure that it is updated daily to ensure that there is no discrepancies
Ensure that administration is done for all new employees on a weekly basis and that all the information and authorizations are in place
Ensure that all salary information is processed by the close of payroll either weekly or monthly
Ensure that terminations/resignations are processed on a case by case basis and ensure that tax calculation are done
Ensure that all the SARS statutory payments (PAYE, UIF, SDL, garnishee orders) are paid over to SARS correctly by the 30th of every month
To report on the mandatory reports from VIP to enable management to balance salary journals and supply this reports to the Accountant and the relevant financial managers.
To report on the payroll variance to enable management to compare last period to the current period on a monthly and weekly basis and Accountant and the relevant financial managers
To post the payroll journals weekly & monthly to the Pastel Evolution General Ledger to ensure that the accounting records are correct and supply this reports to the Accountant & financial managers
To manage info slips by means of making sure that managers have passwords & updating email addresses & also to print & distribute payslips to the respective employees on a weekly & monthly basis.
To reconcile salary information paid out by VIP to make sure that there is no discrepancies and supply this reports to the Accountant and the relevant financial managers.
To report on midyear tax submission by providing total salary costs of the past 6 months in Feb-March & Aug of every year & supply this reports to the Accountant & the relevant financial managers.
To compile the info necessary for the SDF to ensure that the SDF has the info necessary to produce accurate records to government to enable SETA reporting.
Manage and escalate all payroll queries and take corrective action after authorization by the Payroll manager
Ensure that reporting is done accordance with management specifications
Manage leave administration on VIP to ensure that the leave is reflected correctly
Reconcile Payroll and the MIBCO system

Criteria
Matric
Related qualification will be highly beneficial
5 Years + in a similar role
Good understanding of VIP, Pastel Evolution
Solid work history and contactable references.
