Main purpose of the job Process payroll timeously and accurately in line with all company processes and procedures and in compliance with ISO Requirements. Education and experience required: Matric / or Grade 12.Payroll Certificates would be added an advantage.Minimum two (2) years payroll experience essential.Minimum two (2) years’ experience in SAP or VIP accounting software system essential, SAP experience would be an added advantage.Knowledge Skills and Competencies required:Advanced Microsoft ExcelAbility to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.Ability to work in a stressful environment.Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.Attention to detail.Advanced Microsoft Excel.Key areas of responsibilities: Processing and data capture of the payroll for contract staff including all changes relating to employment of staff on the payroll e.g., new arraignments and terminations as per stipulated procedure.Administering and controlling of all garnishee orders.Preparation of all correspondence with staff.All HR functions related to the employees on the payroll such as Provident Fund documentation processing, Compensation Commission claims, etc.Timeous payment of staff via eft.Attending to wage queries.Investigating any payroll discrepancies.Employment confirmations.Filing of all operational employees details and records.Supplying all specified payroll reports to the Payroll manager/supervisor.Any ad hoc reporting required by finance or management.Attending to any correspondence with the Unions and other bodies as and when required.Capturing of leave. Reporting on leave and sick leave.Reconciliations on the third party payments pertaining to payroll within the prescribed time period.Providing specifically requested detailed payroll information required by the financial accountant.Providing the financial accountant with reports as and when requested e.g., leave for provision purposes.Distribution of all specified reports to the Regional Managers when required.Attend meeting with Regional Managers and Area Managers to ensure that the procedures are adhered to and that there’s compliance.
