Payroll Manager (Pretoria)

A leading International Company requires the skill of a dynamic individual to join them and thrive within this Payroll Manager role.

You will meet the following minimum requirements
• Matric + Diploma or Degree in Human Resources
• Must have good solid KRONOS experience and have managed a large Payroll
• Payroll certificate/experience (Taxation, Calculations, NBC, Union, Allowances)
• Experienced in Taxation and related n South African Legislations
• Solid understanding of the full function of payroll and of relevant South African Legislations
• Strong, pragmatic and results-driven individual
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Payroll
• Monthly & Weekly payroll, check payroll sheet (normal time, night shift, overtime, short time and leave)
• Tax on bonus implementation
• Transformation of weekly to monthly and monthly to weekly
• Medical Aid administration and Provident fund administration (add on and withdrawals)
• IRP5 print and issue
• Maternity payments, Overtime, Calculation of stand-in allowances
• Suspensions with payment and Terminations
• DOL calculations and submissions for maternity and terminations
• Job profiles alignment to job grading
• Alliance with increases and bonus payments
• 3rd party administration
• Union administration
• Long service awards
• National Bargaining Council (NBC) payments and contributions
• Weekly payslip approval and printing, investigate and resolving pay queries

Administration
• Maintain filing systems (electronic and manual)
• Employment Wellness (EWP) administration
• Maintain on site organisational structures
• Leave administration NBC and Company via SmartHR and NBC website
• Employment Equity requirements and administration
• Staff movement forms

Reporting: monthly and weekly
• Payroll, Headcount, Clock-in times, Absenteeism, Shift reports, hours
• KPIs Workplans
• SHE Portal, GMS (quality)
• Potential pay queries, Maternity leave, Training
• Client (if and when required)

Communication
• SMS service to employees as per organisational requirements
• Update all HR communication boards and attach relevant communication to payslips
• Continuous and timeously feedback to all relevant parties

Finance & Projects
• Work within department budget
• Champions / leads / sponsors change projects
• Employee engagement projects (EOS, BBEEE, Incentives etc)
• PPE (annual orders and day-to-day activities)

General
• Compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Oversee team, ensure implementation of the organisation’s and the customers policies and goals;
• Control new company procedures for the department;
• Year-end vouchers and reconciliation

People Management
• Team leadership, coaching, development, performance management etc.
• Maintain succession plan for the key roles
• Prepare personal development plans for the team members
• Encourages effective cooperation among team members
• Annual performance reviews with sub-ordinates
• Inspires team spirit and the commitment to achieve high standards of performance

Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Pretoria.
