PAYROLL MANAGER

Manage payroll function
Excellent Understanding of Sage VIP Premier
Payroll Reconciliation
Administer payroll, benefits and statutory compliance
Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates relating to payroll
Conduct statutory reports and journals
Understand the concept and application of Cost to Company Structure
Understand the concept and application of Time and Attendance System -PRP
Understand the application of all Legislations as per BCEA and NBCRFI (National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight Industry)
Month End 3rd Party Payments, Weekly Payments, Reconciliations D-Forms and NBC Queries
Prepare and Organise Payroll Sign Off.
Prepare Salary Increase Schedules for Bargaining Council Employees and Support Departments.

Manage and develop employee
Monitor performance of team members to ensure efficiency
Motivate staff to maximise productivity
Take corrective action in the form of counselling and/or coaching when performance and behaviour is not in accordance with the required targets and code of conduct
Monitor timekeeping and absenteeism
Manage the overtime worked ensuring that this is kept to a minimum
Handle staff problems and queries

Qualification
National Senior Certificate
Payroll system certification

Relevant Experience
3 - 5 years’ payroll experience
Relevant Competencies and Knowledge Computer literacy – MS Office package on an Advance Level (Word and Excel)
Payroll and general HR practices.
