About the job
The purpose of the position is to manages the full Function of Payroll Management including Salary and Job Benchmarking. The incumbent will be the Super User VIP Payroll and Employee Self Service. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the systems and procedures aimed at ensuring efficiency in all aspects of pay administration including preparation, documentation and disbursement of payroll and payroll taxes. Also, be responsible for the preparation of statutory returns to the relevant government departments.

Responsibilities
Payroll
Manage payroll by loading of new employees, termination & maintain VIP master changes.
Process and reconcile travel, disbursement and overtime on VIP
Manage the third-party claims including reconciliation thereof
ACB exports and third-party payments
Print required reports to management
Maintain and document all payroll records
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
Follow up with HR / staff / Line Managers to obtain outstanding information for payroll
Finance Reporting
Prepare & reconcile journals
Capture journals on SAGE Evolution
Posting journal to general ledger
Reconcile General Ledger payroll account on balance sheet
Cost allocation to different department
Reconcile and Filling SARS EMP201, EMP501 and handling SARS queries
Perform activities allocated in terms of month end and year end programs including the budgeting process
System coordination
Manage and Maintain VIP system (Changes and Updates on payroll).
Update payroll system with relevant policies.
Liaison with SAGE VIP about any system queries and resolve systems queries.
Benefits administration (Medical aid and Pension Fund Management)
Administering the medical aid and Pension Fund on Payroll including reconciliation and reporting to Finance.
Induction of new staff on all compensation and benefits policies and procedures.
Advice, train and update staff on all compensation and benefits changes and increases.
Investigate and recommend options of compensation and benefits for employees (Alexandra Forbes and Bonita’s) and other service providers.
manage all employee benefits and wellness initiatives
Leave Administration
ESS administration and training

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in payroll
Advanced Excel and Word knowledge
