Mandatory Requirements
• NQF 6 minimum
• +/- 5 years of permitting and site acquisition experience especially in a technical or engineering environment
• Specific, demonstrable, experience in EIA, Town Planning and related processes
• Knowledge of Environmental Laws and Land Use Management processes
• Valid driver’s license and
• Own vehicle
• Knowledge of all legislature and legislative requirements applicable to the Telco industry
• Must have the ability to interpret legal descriptions, construction and/or right of way drawings, assessor maps and survey drawings
• Knowledge and experience of the site permitting and acquisition process especially in a Telco environment
• Must have excellent ability to communicate effectively with the public, clients, project team and outside contractors
• Basic understanding of building or real estate appraisals
• Efficient with Microsoft Office, business writing and competent report writing
• Ability to take personal responsibility for their own and their department’s performance
• a proven ability to co-ordinate, manage and motivate both themselves and a team
• an ability to focus on relevant details while maintaining a clear understanding of the bigger picture
• a track record of on-time, on-cost, task delivery
• Good understanding of telecommunications network operations
• Ability to work under pressure without supervision

Qualifications and Experience
• at least a NQF6 qualification in relevant technical field e.g. land surveying, town planning , real estate
• Bachelor’s degree an advantage
• preferably 10+ years in the telco industry specifically in permitting and acquisition of which +/- 5 years in large capital telco project environment
• Experience pertaining to the permitting, construction and operation of telecommunications network infrastructure
• professional registration an advantage
