We require a Quantity Surveyor (QS) with experience in the Petrochemical Industry to be based in Durban

Education and Skills

5 years Quantity Surveying experience in the Petrochemical Industry.
Exposure to contract/commercial administration of subcontracts and general all round site Quantity Surveying experience.
Quantity Surveying qualification.
Computer literate.
Numerically proficient.
Good commercial and contractual knowledge.
Must be language proficient (English) and be a good communicator.

Responsibilities

Validate tender following award of project with the Project Manager.
Assist in preparation of project CCS by analysing the tender and project requirements.
Prepare cash flow by analysing the timing of sales and costs.
Compile monthly reports in accordance with Company standard procedures.
Where applicable carry out monthly site measures with the Site Manager in accordance with contractual procedures.
Ensure timeous submission of claims in accordance with provisions of contract.
Ensure that areas of concern are highlighted relating to contract costs, sales and margins.
