Pharmacist Assistant POST BASIC - Manufacturing & Production
Paarl, Western Cape

1. Grade 12 essential
2. Pharmacist assistant post basic
3. Qualified as a post basic pharmacist assistant with the SA pharmacy council
4. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING AND PRODUCTION
5. Manage and control quality assurance system to ensure the safety of products for end-users as per cGMP and regulatory guidelines
6. Ensure that the Company complies with the Pharmacy Act (Act 53 of 1974).
7. Ensure that the Company complies with the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act (Act 101 of 1965).
8. Supervise and monitor good housekeeping practices within the production environment.
9. Take prompt action to address and correct any bad housekeeping and out-of-line situations within production.
10. Supervise all Manufacturing and Packing processes as regulated by the Medicines and Related substances Act.
11. Ensure compliance to good manufacturing practices at all times.Report any out-of –line situations regarding GMP to the Production Pharmacist.
12. Verify and sign-off picked components and labels for correctness and compliance.
13. Open and close lines for dispensing, manufacturing and packing processes. Ensure that all the line-opening and closing checks are completed successfully, the area and equipment are neat and clean, batch numbers and expiry dates are correct and signed-off and countersigned by the supervisors of the specific production areas
14. Verify and sign-off weighed bulk and components for packing as governed by the applicable batch packing documentation.
15. Ensure full documentation compliance during secondary packing activities, that entries are neat, correct and legible.
16. Record all required data and comments applicable per batch.
17. Check and sign-off in-process control check-lists with regard to the correctness and completeness of these checks as conducted by production, for each packed batch.
18. Check and sign-off the reconciliation for each packing slip per batch
19. Participate with the investigations of Customer Complaints and provide on-time feedback to QA if deemed necessary.
20. Co-operate during internal audits, self-inspections or any other audit activities.
21. Co-operate and assist when necessary during validation procedures
22. Ensure that all relevant cleaning logs and registers are completed after conducting cleaning of the packing facilities and equipment.
23. Liaise with the Production Pharmacist regarding the production schedule and material and equipment availability when required
24. Conduct departmental/section audits and spot check on a regular basis and as governed by the audit schedules provided by QA.
25. Ensure appropriate co-practice for the effective management of safety and health factors.
26. Take prompt corrective action to address out-of-line safety or health situations, including recommended actions as per audit reports
