A leading IT company based in Johannesburg, is currently looking for a PHP Developer to join their team. Duties: • Maintain existing websites and mobile sites. • Troubleshooting issues and problems. • Developing new functionality/features on existing websites through integration into existing API’s both internal and external. • Participating in Design and Architecture of new systems. • Interacting with users for the purposes of requirements gathering, testing and issue troubleshooting. • Documentation of systems developed. • Source/Version Control. • Unit Testing own code. Requirements: • BSc degree or equivalent • Minimum +5 years solid web development (PHP) experience • PHP, CakePHP Framework, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, MySQL, Linux/Apache/Tomcat Server Environment, Web services experience (XML, XSL, standards) • E-commerce experience essential. • Strong web development experience. • Basic Graphic Design (Photoshop or similar). • Knowledge of the SDLC (specifically within a web and PHP environment). • Must be able to work independently and have the ability to work under pressure. • Good communications skills both written and verbal.
