Qualification:

Matric

Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science



Skills & Experience:

Skills/Competencies and experience with at least 3 to 5 years’ worth of Professional Development experience

Proven portfolio of work

Firm grasp of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SEO principles

Firm grasp of Photoshop / Fireworks and Flash advantageous

Knowledge of computer science fundamentals in object oriented design, data structures and algorithms

Strong software design skills

Knowledge of one or more modern JavaScript/JQuery frameworks



Job Description:

Requirements:

The candidate will be required to interpret technical specifications (when supplied), develop, test and deliver according to spec and document and support there developments

Must be motivated to continue learning, researching and implement new technologies

Comfortable with basics of Git and version control

Good verbal/written communication skills

Responsibilities:

Analyse and design new features for the web

Proposing website solutions as required

Coding for the creation of new and maintenance of existing websites

Must take responsibility for the developments, applications, systems, etc. within their projects

Write elegant robust code

Improve and optimize the performance of existing systems

Troubleshoot and root-cause errors

Write unit, integration and acceptance tests for all components

Assist with analysis where required

Actively contribute as a team member

The candidate’s primary responsibility would be programming but will be required to do regular maintenance on software

Working with digital team for quality control and coding guidelines

Consultation with client to ensure understanding of brief/product requirements
