PHP Developer
Location: Sandton, JHB
Salary: R35k per month

Requirements:

A strong understanding of PHP
Excellent experience with MySQL database design and development
Well-versed in HTML, CSS, and Javascript – frontend development
Knowledge of semantic HTML and experience implementing search engine optimisation techniques
Experience with responsive development and frameworks
Experience with interfacing with Web services and APIs using JSON/XML etc
Supporting custom CMS/CRM development using PHP frameworks for example Laravel.
Excellent WordPress development skills including the ability to extend this CMS as needed
Experience producing documentation such as technical briefs, diagrams, test plans etc
Experience with WordPress, Laravel, gulp workflow and git.
Digital background
Ability to research emerging technologies and identify possible applications internally and for clients
Ability to drive new concepts and ideas internally, with the team, and for clients
Ability to work in an Agile or Waterfall Environment as required
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time

Duties:

PHP development: Build web applications and websites using MVC frameworks.
CMS Development: Build websites in WordPress.
Web services and API integration.
Develop system interaction or sequence diagrams.
Perform or direct web site updates including editing web page content, or direct others producing content.
Write supporting code for web applications or web sites.
Design and implement web site security measures
Create searchable indices for web page content.
Design, build, or maintain web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.
Implement tracking tags for a variety of applications.
Collaborate with other developers, business analyst or other team members.
